Welcome To Mountain Water District

The Mountain Water District serves the water and sewer utility needs for all of the unincorporated area of Pike County. Mountain Water District was created by the merger of Pond Creek Water District, Marrowbone Water District and Shelby Valley Water District on July 1, 1986. Mountain Water District provides water service to more than seventeen thousand (17,000) homes and businesses in Pike County and sewer service to more than twenty-three hundred (2,300) homes and businesses.

OUTAGE UPDATE 8/5/2022 (FINAL) - 8/5/2022

The District has restored 100% of outage areas due to recent flooding. If you are experiencing an outage and your area has been restored, please contact us at 606-631-9162. Some individual service lines that were washed out may still need to be found and repaired.

Boil water advisories for the affected areas remain in effect at this time.

A boil water advisory has been issued for Route 292 from house #4260 to house #5291 including Hurricane Branch, Harrison Hollow and Tug Fork Apartments.

All other boil water advisories in flood affected areas remain in effect as well, until further notice.
